Real-life examples and the methods used in vaccine design.

Retrieve data and predict antigenicity, allergenicity and toxicity. Tools: VaxiJen, ANTIGENpro, AllerCatPro, AllerFP, AllerTop, ToxinPred.

Epitopes and prediction methods
Types of epitopes and how they are predicted.

B-cell and T-cell epitope prediction
Predict B-cell and T-cell epitopes. Tools: IEDB, NetCTL.

Vaccine construct design
Build a primary vaccine construct and analyze its physicochemical properties.

Structure prediction and troubleshooting
Predict the tertiary structure of the vaccine and discuss common issues. Tool: SWISS-MODEL.

What will I need on my computer?
A computer running Windows 10/11, macOS or Linux, with a reliable internet connection. Google Meet runs in your web browser.

Every session is recorded, and you get access to the recordings.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. The certificate is awarded on completing the course assignment.
