Common questions
Are the courses live or recorded?
All current programs are taught live online. Self-paced recorded courses are planned.
How much do courses cost?
Fees start at ₹1,199 for Indian students and USD 25 for international students for a one-week program, and vary by category (student, research scholar/postdoc, faculty, industry professional) and course length. Each brochure lists the full fee table.
When are the sessions held?
Each brochure lists the exact schedule. Recent cohorts have run Monday to Friday, 7:15–8:15 PM IST.
Do I need prior experience?
No prior experience or coding is needed for the foundation courses: Introduction to Bioinformatics, Python & Biopython for Bioinformatics, and R for Bioinformatics. Other courses need a basic understanding of bioinformatics. Genomics courses such as WGS, WES, GWAS and Genome Assembly also need a basic understanding of genomics.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. For courses, the certificate is awarded on completing the course assignment. For programs with a project, such as course internships and the Research Project Internship, it is awarded on completing and submitting the project.
