Department METRIC Mass Spectrometry Platform Technology
    About the Department
The overarching goal of the Molecular Education, Technology and Research Innovation Center (METRIC) is to build a core facility that offers its clientele seamless access to qualitative and quantitative analysis for a diverse range of molecules for their research across multiple platform technologies and molecular scales. METRIC will provide the following services:

    • X-ray crystallography: small molecule and macromolecular crystal structure determination
    • NMR spectroscopy: small molecule and macromolecular solution structures, protein-ligand interactions, protein dynamics
    • Mass spectrometry: small molecule identification and structural analysis, targeted and untargeted metabolomics, proteomics, lipidomics, glycomics, mass spectrometry imaging.
    • Education and training: each METRIC Lead Research Scientist will provide appropriate training to new users, enhance graduate and undergraduate education opportunities, organize educational materials, short courses, and workshops to support users, develop standard operating protocols for specific workflows, and coordinate to host regular forums for users to interact and share new methods.
