    The Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences (BLS) is a growing, innovative and vibrant Division whose guiding principle is to deliver excellence in biomedical teaching and research. We wish to appoint 3 posts at Grade 8 Lecturer level to join the Division as we continue to expand. We are looking for Lecturer in Bioinformatics/Systems Biology candidates whose research interests are broadly aligned with any of our three research themes of Ageing and Neuroscience, Cancer Biology and Genome Stability, and Microbes, Pathogens & Immunity.  For one of the posts, we would particularly like to hear from candidates taking bioinformatics or systems biology approaches to these themes.

    Situated within the Faculty of Health and Medicine, the Division is an excellent environment in which to carry out research, and has a track record of substantial funding and publication success. BLS has a strong interdisciplinary ethos and collaborates with colleagues in Lancaster Medical School and the Division of Health Research within the Faculty of Health and Medicine, as well as colleagues in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and the Lancaster Environment Centre within the Faculty of Science and Technology.

    Our highly ranked degree programmes in the areas of biology, biomedicine and biochemistry involve the delivery of research-led teaching and learning to 500+ undergraduate students and a growing population of research and taught postgraduate students.
